At the present time, our focus is on building up our small congregation that meets week by week in the large rear Sunday School room – services are held at 2:45 on Sunday afternoon. This enables individuals from other churches to come along and encourage the work. Communion services are held once a month on Wednesday mornings for church members. This is followed by a prayer meeting which is supported by friends from several other churches who are anxious to see the work build up and flourish once again. All are invited to this meeting.
We use the Authorised Version of the Bible.
We sing from ‘Christian Worship’ and Gadsby’s Selection.
All Sunday Services follow the traditional format of four hymns, Bible readings, prayers and a sermon.
A yearly cycle of other meetings are held in conjunction with the Heritage Centre, including two annual Church history lectures, several occasional lectures, two large second hand book sales, and cream tea etc. etc. All are most welcome to any of these meetings.
In 2015 the main sanctuary of the chapel became the home to the Christian Heritage Centre. This work has flourished, school parties have visited and many children have been able to see and understand what a massive benefit Christianity has been to the nation over many years. Not only children but visitors from all over the country have been enlightened and encouraged by what we have on display.
